Here’s a fun little holiday nugget of a mini-episode we put together just for the heck of it. Travis’ brother Nick stops by for a Conversation and have you ever heard of the band Titanium Dynamite? Well, you’re about to! Also stick around to the end for a special performance of a Christmas standard. Happy Holidays!
It’s another holiday grab bag of goodies. First we talk about how it ‘Tis The Season to act like a jerk especially since someone left a special “gift” on Brandi’s car. After that Travis tells you why you should always dress up as Santa if you get the chance and he recounts the best holiday party / night of his life. Finally we end with some eggnog experiments. Brandi has never had eggnog and Travis hasn’t had any since he was a kid. Fair warning: it doesn’t go well.
We talk about some funky / weird Christmas decorations on Episode 026. To add some visual to the audio here are some photos of said decorations.

We are still overflowing with the Holiday spirit over here at TOC Pod HQ. First we start off talking about Christmas presents. Travis hates waiting till Christmas Day to open them and he also hates surprises. He shares some tips and tricks he’s discovered over the years on how to unwrap and fully enjoy your presents early. He also tells you how to re-wrap and get the gifts back under the tree before the gift giver or the Baby Jesus notices. Next up it’s been getting cold lately and Brandi is someone who is always cold even when it’s hot outside so freezing temperatures are not her friend. Travis talks about his plans to summit Mt. Everest and even has a plan on how to include the easily chilled Brandi. There’s also the tale of an accidental almost manslaughter that Travis wants to blame on the cold weather and soon both Travis and Brandi have re-written a classic holiday song. Finally we end talking about Christmas decorations. Travis isn’t much for decking the halls but Brandi loves it and looks forward to it all year. Travis tells us about some odd holiday traditions / decorations and we finally learn what wreaths really are.

This week we start to get into the holiday spirit because, well, it’s December. Also it seems everywhere we go holiday music is playing. Travis talks about how he heard there are subliminal messages in music you hear in shopping malls and stores. Soon he is recounting a tale about his 9th grade self who (allegedly) stole some Batman earrings from a chain store. He also cut his own hair and wore acid washed jeans so his choices during this time were far from perfect. Even a tie-dyed shirt and the King of Pop make an appearance in this story so it’s a grab bag of holiday fun for all. Next up it’s time to talk about Brandi’s birthday since she was a December baby. But first she decides to sing a song while Travis is out of the room. Thankfully it was recorded and we start off with that nugget of awesome. Eventually it’s all about the trials and tribulations of growing up with a birthday close to Christmas. Apparently it makes you want toothbrushes and pedometers as gifts once you’re an adult. Finally we end with some good ol’ Christmas stories about caroling. Brandi thinks carolers aren’t real but Travis proves they are by revealing he was in fact a former caroler. Will winter wonders never cease?
